When it comes to innovation, we have a responsibility to stay ahead of our clients.

Being a marketing and design agency, it is up to us to come up with the right solutions for our clients to solve their marketing problems.

No pressure there then, at the current rate of development!

Luckily, we're big believers in staying ahead of the curve, as it were. Whether that's in design, marketing techniques or technology, we simply want to know what's going on in the industry!

Our approach is simple: We invest time and money into innovations that help us operate more effectively, support our existing clients better, but also improve our own value proposition when we meet with businesses who could become new clients in the future.

During our time in the industry, we have been able to provide our clients with innovative solutions, simply by understanding their challenges and looking at them differently.

We all know that innovation means different things to different businesses. Some of our clients are at the beginning of their (digital) customer journey. Innovation for them is improving beyond the basic digital and brand experience. They are simply not ready yet to venture into more complex ways of marketing, why run before you can walk?

Other clients we've supported with NPD, identifying gaps in the market and streamlining processes to make their marketing easier. We can create things that don't exist because we're agile and use bespoke solutions to get the best result. Innovation is much harder to achieve if you only have an off-the-shelf tool to work with and no flexibility.

Innovation

Our close working relationships with our clients means we have a good overview of their business, making it easier to define the right types of marketing innovations. For one client for example, we are exploring an addition to their eCommerce offering and making the shopping experience more immersive through augmented or virtual reality. This is both exciting and testing stuff!

Another challenge which will require many businesses to innovate is the customer experience. Research indicates, that by 2020 it will overtake price and product as the key brand differentiator1. For The Wonderland, the customer journey is central within our ideas and recommendations to clients. We see how some clients are still hampered by systems that limit these changes, while others have made huge leaps forward while working with us.

We all know that innovation, by its very nature, includes a risk of failure. Some of our innovations went in the bin, too! We embrace that risk with our clients and work with them to turn innovation into success. And we can help you do the same.
